So this gorgeous model i got to work with took s.t.u.n.n.i.n.g. photos. But my favorite part was post production and playing with the images. I love to offer my clients a range of natural (what the picture really looked like) and more theatrical (what the intended mood was). These sort of options are available for pin-up sessions and personal portrait sessions.
So then you get to decide ~ which is your favorite???
This was my second session with this cutie pie. And boy-oh-boy has she grown!!! My favorite part ~ the giggles. She is one happy baby. I don’t know why but my favorites of this session all tend to be black & white pictures. I think its just the intensity of those eyes combined with such soft and delicate skin that makes for such a good transformation. Nothing focuses an image more than black & white ~ which also makes the first photo one of my all time favorites.
Black & white photography was actually my ‘original trade’ and what i was trained in. Reminds me of alllllll those hours spent in the darkroom in college. Lost ~ i could litereally get lost in there for an entire day. It was awesome.

I had the pleasure of meeting this couple on one of the DREARIEST days this spring. No kidding ~ it was horrible. Thankfully they were great sports about it as we skirted in an out of doorways and overhangs. Even their pup came along for the ride. There’s always a blessing in disguise when things like this happen. For starters ~ I bet their wedding day will be beautiful. And we really did get some cool photos. Nothing like wet pavement to make things look cool & sultry like…

Thanks to Uncle Sam, I had ANOTHER wonderful pin-up session. It feels like forever since I’ve had a good Betty Page Day. There is nothing more fun or liberating than seeing real women feel WONDERFUL about themselves. Its a time to get girly, get sexy and go overboard. But in a way that just about anyone can appreciate.
This bride to be is actual a proud member of the US Marine Corp!!! I mean talk about it all in one package. I had sooo many ideas we could have literally shot for days. (alas the editing time THAT would have taken sends shivers down my spine) But she was seriously so. much. fun! I love that she took the time pre-shoot to really check out pin-up artistry and nailed those facial expressions. I think it made such a difference with her photos. We really did have so much fun. Nothing like laughing the whole way through a shoot.

One of the great things about getting an annual package is that you get to have FUN. You will reach a point where you have pretty photos to show your parents, aunts & uncles and then you’ll finally get to do the photos you WANT. Of course it doesn’t hurt when your taking photos of an awesome family who likes to goof around perhaps even more than you do.
